About Myself

I am the third son for my family. I was born in October 1979 G.C in Addis Ababa at a place called “Gulele”. After two years, we moved to Bole with my father’s interest. I started my education at Bole Medehanialem “Yekes Timihirtbet” (Traditional school in the Ethiopian Orthodox church). Soon after four months I joined a governmental school, Birhaneh Zare Elementary School, at the age of five and completed within seven and half year then join Bole Senior Secondary School. While I was grade 12 preparing myself for ESLCE, September 5, 1995 a great disaster came to my life that was the death of my father. I was unable to study for about three month but tried my best with the remaining three months and scored 3.0 in ESLCE. My plan was to join Natural Science College, for engineering course, but was assigned to Addis Ababa Commercial College and acquired diploma in Accounting. After graduation I was sick and had to stay home for two months and later on, I found a job in Rural Community Water Development Organization a local NGO and become an accountant. After enjoying few months salary, I have decided to join MicroLink Information Technology College to take a 9-month Computer Hardware training course at extension program. The course was extended for one month and I have complited it and joined Unity University College in MIS extension degree program. Though the course is for six years, I had a plan to complete in five years. As a result I have shifted to a regular student at the fifth year and completed according to the plan. After graduation I have changed my job and become Finance and Admin head at Music Mayday Ethiopia another local NGO. At present I am also working as graphic designer, computer trainer, computer technician and web developer in my spare time.

What I have benefited from Unity was not only knowledge and Degree but also found my beautiful life partner, Netsanet Alemayehu (Netsi). We made a very small weeding and started living together.
